Wastrels Anonymous

Not very good. Too little fighting, too much “blurry” effects, “dark dark cannot see anything much” effect, and “scary music but nothing happened” effect. Think Resident Evil. Storyline sux. It might as well be titled “Tom and Jerry: Earth Adventure” and the story still fit. I give it 2 wastrel stars out of 5.

Then, we had dinner!

The eve of New Year’s eve Wastrels “E”, Missy Wastrel “S”, “F”, “Mrs F” and me went to the zoo.

After that, we had steamboat dinner.

We started the dinner with lots of drinks. Feels shiok after a hot day at the zoo. The tom yam soup at first tasted rather bland, but towards the end it got really tasty. Missy Wastrel “S” like it so much she drank several bowls (with her secret recipe mix of 50% tom yam and 50% chicken soup… or was it 47% and 53%… anyway, it’s secret) even though she’s full. As you can see from the peeks, lots of fish ball, fish cake, crab sticks and other exotic food while we avoid the common food like prawns.

We also talked about “F”‘s housewarming gift ideas and it seems the ideal gift would be one of the following:

1. washing board
2. large stone stab
3. washing board
4. washing board
5. washing board

Such a tough decision.

All in all, it was a wonderful trip to the zoo.

Wastrel outing today! Sunshine plaza, and Plaza Singapura. Dim sum, food court food (no photos) and Starbucks.

Long time since the Wastrels meet up for anything. Today I,Wastrel is in a spendy mode so we headed down to Sim Lim Square (ya we’re also geeks too). After helping I,Wastrel to lighten his wallet, we headed out for dinner – Park Lane wanton mee at Sunshine Plaza. Wanted dim sum also, but decided to find a coffee place instead.

We got two ice chocolates and one pot of English Breakkie tea, in a coffee shop. Oh, that basket used to hold nice tasty bites like chicken wings, chips, some ring thingie and some ball thingie. DSing makes me and Wastrel F hungry, so we ordered another basket of chips. It’s amazing… all of us brought our DSes! Kinda like an unspoken rule these days… that DSes are a must in all Wastrel gatherings.

And we forgot our Oktober beer!!
